ANTI-SLIP TAPE
Anti-slip tape, also known as non-skid tape or grip tape, is a self-adhesive safety tape designed to prevent slipping and improve traction on slippery or high-traffic surfaces. It typically has a gritty, sandpaper-like surface made from aluminum oxide or silicon carbide and a strong adhesive backing that sticks to a variety of surfaces like metal, wood, concrete, and tile.
📦 Available in:
Rolls (various widths)
Pre-cut strips or shapes
Clear or colored (black, yellow, glow-in-the-dark, hazard stripes, etc.)
🛡️ Key Features:
High slip resistance (wet or dry)
Durable and weather-resistant (indoor/outdoor use)
Easy to apply—peel and stick
Some types are water-, oil-, and chemical-resistant
✅ Common Uses:
Stair treads (indoor and outdoor)
Ladders and ramps
Walkways and loading docks
Warehouse floors and factory zones
Boat decks and trailers
Showers, bathtubs, or poolside areas (use water-resistant or transparent types)
🛠️ Effective Ways to Use Anti-Slip Tape:
Surface Preparation:
Clean the surface thoroughly: Remove dirt, grease, oil, or moisture.
Let the surface dry completely.
For rough or porous surfaces (like concrete), consider applying a primer to improve adhesion.
Measure and Cut:
Measure the area and cut the tape to desired lengths.
Round the corners slightly with scissors to prevent peeling.
Apply the Tape:
Peel off the backing liner slowly.
Press the tape firmly onto the surface, working from the center outward to avoid air bubbles.
Use a roller or strong hand pressure for best contact.
Cure Time:
Avoid walking or placing weight on the tape for 24 hours to allow full adhesion.
⚠️ Pro Tips:
Apply at room temperature (ideally 10–35°C / 50–95°F).
For outdoor use, look for UV- and weather-resistant varieties.
In wet or barefoot areas (e.g. pools, showers), choose a fine-texture or transparent waterproof type.
Replace worn-out tape promptly to maintain safety.
