Our Back-Up Rod is a great product that can be used for all sorts of projects. You can use it as an expansion joint by waterproofing companies, as a noise protection filler for aluminium extrusion, or use a decorative filler in your home.
Backup rods are round, flexible lengths of foam that are used as a “backing” in joints or cracks to help control the amount of sealant/caulking used and create a backstop. They can also be used as a barrier between two rigid materials, allowing one material to be bonded to another without stress being placed on the joint itself.
